3S. The question every Steelers fan has been asking all week finally has an answer — and it’s the update Pittsburgh desperately needed. As Week 12 approaches, the team received encouraging news about Cam Heyward’s status, sparking a wave of relief across Steelers Nation. After days of uncertainty, signs now point in a far more optimistic direction, giving the defense a much-needed boost ahead of a tough matchup.

The Pittsburgh Steelers just received a huge injury update ahead of the Week 12 matchup vs. the Chicago Bears, as veteran DT Cameron Heyward — who was spotted in a walking boot on Friday — has been upgraded from questionable for Sunday’s game.
On Saturday, the Steelers announced Heyward’s injury-designation upgrade, along with Darius Slay Jr. (concussion) — two veteran defenders now expected to face off against a fearsome Bears’ offense in Week 12.
Heyward’s injury caught many fans off guard, as he was deemed a resting veteran through the first two days of practice — only to pick up an ankle injury during the final session of the week.
Heyward will now be tasked with leading the Steelers’ defensive line into a tough road matchup against the Bears’ No. 3 rushing offense in the NFL — an exciting contest between two divisional leaders that can’t afford to lose in Week 12.
