HH. BREAKING: Detroit is about to witness a historic homecoming — Eminem is set to perform at the Lions’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show, per source

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions are about to deliver the most anticipated Thanksgiving halftime show in franchise history — and they’re doing it with the city’s biggest icon. Eminem is officially set to take the stage at Ford Field for the annual Thanksgiving game, bringing a Detroit legend back home for one of the NFL’s most-watched holiday events.
The Lions confirmed that Eminem — along with longtime manager Paul Rosenberg — will not only help shape the future of the team’s halftime tradition through 2027, but will headline this year’s Thanksgiving performance
in front of tens of millions watching nationwide.
“It’s an honor to team up with the Lions,” Rosenberg said. “This is the biggest tradition in Detroit sports, and we’re ready to put together a show fans will never forget.”
The Lions have hosted Thanksgiving games since 1934, but this year’s halftime show is expected to be the most culturally significant yet. Eminem’s connection to the franchise and the city makes the performance feel like a full-circle moment for Detroit — a celebration of the team, the culture, and the city that raised him.
Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams couldn’t contain his excitement:
“This is huge for the culture. Getting a real Detroiter on that stage brings the whole city together.”
Williams even hopes to see fellow Detroit rap stars such as Babyface Ray and Veeze join the celebration — a nod to the booming local music scene Eminem helped inspire.
To ensure the show is produced at the highest level, the Lions have also partnered with Jesse Collins Entertainment (JCE), known for producing Super Bowl halftime shows and major award ceremonies.
Lions president & CEO Rod Wood believes this is a breakthrough moment:
“Eminem and Paul are two of the most respected names in music — and longtime Lions fans. Their involvement will help elevate our halftime show into one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”
Detroit has waited decades for a moment like this — a surging Lions team, a national spotlight, and the biggest artist in the city’s history performing on its biggest stage.
This Thanksgiving, Ford Field won’t just be loud.
It’s going to explode.
