RM Travis Kelce Sets New Chiefs Touchdown Record With Late Score Against Broncos

Travis Kelce has officially etched his name atop the Kansas City Chiefs record books.

The star tight end hauled in a crucial fourth-quarter touchdown on Sunday versus Denver, giving the Chiefs the lead and passing Priest Holmes to become the franchise’s all-time touchdown leader.

Kelce’s catch marked the 84th touchdown of his regular-season career, pushing him ahead of Holmes’s long-standing mark. When including postseason production, Kelce now sits at 101 total touchdowns, the most by any player in team history. This latest score also gives him four touchdown receptions so far this season.

The moment was classic Kelce. With Kansas City trailing 16–13 and 10 minutes remaining, Patrick Mahomes looked to his most trusted target on a pivotal third down—and the duo delivered once again. Mahomes and Kelce have now combined for 76 touchdowns across regular season and playoffs, making them only the third quarterback–tight end pairing ever to reach that total.

Kelce had matched Holmes’s franchise record on Oct. 27 with a touchdown against Washington. Just a few weeks later, he now stands alone in first place.
