Washington, D.C. — After Amon-Ra St. Brown went viral for performing the “Trump Dance” during the Detroit Lions’ 44–22 win over the Washington Commanders, former President Donald Trump has officially broken his silence. Surprisingly, his response was not anger — butpride and amusement.

Trump, however, felt no offense whatsoever. Instead, he praised the Lions star:
“A great young man. He competes, he works hard, and he still remembers a little dance of mine — I love that. He didn’t offend me at all. I’m proud of him.”
According to a source close to Trump, the former president “laughed” when he first saw the celebration clip. Trump added:

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Anderson blasted the fans who booed Trump during halftime when he read the Oath of Enlistment to service members from his luxury suite.
“Honestly, I’m not surprised parts of the crowd booed him. I lived in D.C. for 13 years — that city is aggressively liberal. They don’t know what’s good for them.”
She also praised Amon-Ra St. Brown for the viral celebration:
“Coming from a blue-collar Midwest town, I relate way more to the Detroit Lions player doing the Trump dance.”
A Divisive Moment — Met With an Unexpectedly Calm Response
Despite the backlash, St. Brown had a strong performance:
5 receptions, 58 yards, and a touchdown, which sparked the celebration.
Trump saw the dance before leaving the stadium early and reportedly smiled. He later doubled down on his support:
