R1 “THIS IS GETTING STRANGE.” — STEELERS INSIDER DROPS A BIZARRE UPDATE ON T.J. WATT

The Pittsburgh Steelers saw superstar pass rusher TJ Watt go down with a concerning injury before Week 15 action.

It was revealed that Watt suffered a partially collapsed lung during a dry needling treatment. He has already been ruled out for the Steelers’ Week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Watt is one of the cornerstone pieces for Pittsburgh. Having him miss games late in the season is making things much more difficult for the Steelers when it comes to the AFC playoff picture. Thankfully, they were able to defeat the Miami Dolphins without him last week.

A partially collapsed lung is a very serious issue. Watt could miss more time than just this week as he works his way back to the field.TJ Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers

With that being said, an incredibly bizarre update has been shared about Watt ahead of this week’s game against the Lions.

As shared by Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Steelers insider Mark Kaboly shared a confusing update. He suggested that there is more to the Watt injury story than meets the eye.

“There’s more to the story,” Kaboly said. It might not be what you think it is.”

No one knows what that could mean. More updates are sure to come out about Watt in the near future. Fans will have to wait in suspense to find out what Kaboly is referring to with his new report.

Throughout his nine-year career with Pittsburgh, Watt has been one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He has played in 134 total games, racking up 515 total tackles to go along with 115 sacks, 36 forced fumbles, 14 fumble recoveries, eight interceptions, and 57 defended passes.

During the NFL offseason, Watt agreed to terms with the Steelers on a lucrative three-year, $123 million contract extension. That deal was expected to potentially keep him in town throughout the remainder of his career. At 31 years old, there is a chance he could need another deal after his current contract.

Hopefully, Watt is able to make his return to the field at some point this season. After Kaboly’s new update, it will be interesting to see what the entire fallout of the situation ends up being.
