RM Megyn Kelly Shares She Turned to Charlie Kirk for Guidance After His Death

Heartbreaking moment shaking Megyn Kelly breaks down in tears as she learns of Charlie Kirk's death during livestream

Megyn Kelly revealed that she continues to seek guidance from the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, even after his tragic death in September. During an appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix on December 19, Kelly, 55, spoke about her ongoing connection to Kirk, noting that there have been moments when she has prayed to him for direction.

In a conversation with far-right figure Jack Posobiec, Kelly discussed a recent interview between Kirk’s widow, Erika, and conservative podcaster Candace Owens. Erika, 37, reached out to Kelly about the possibility of moderating the discussion between her and Owens, which eventually took place on December 15. During their 4.5-hour-long conversation, Owens shared multiple conspiracy theories regarding Charlie Kirk’s death. This has caused tension between Erika and Owens, as reported by CNN.

Kelly, who has spoken on the ongoing feud between Erika and Owens, expressed on her SiriusXM show that the conflict had been lingering for some time. At the AmericaFest event, Kelly said, “I’ve prayed so many times to Charlie, and to God, to give me the right guidance on how to handle this whole thing…” She added that the conservative community has experienced a “fracture” due to these tensions.

Reflecting on Charlie’s legacy, Kelly shared how much she misses him, recalling how he always had a knack for asking the right questions and understood what would resonate with audiences. “He had such great judgment, and he was always generous with his time and approach,” she remembered. “It’s hard to believe it’s been three months. Some days it feels like yesterday, and other days it feels like another lifetime.”

During the AmericaFest event, which ran from December 18 to December 21, attendees were able to visit a recreated booth from the time of Charlie’s fatal shooting. The display, designed to resemble the setup where Charlie was killed on September 10, included a “Prove Me Wrong” table similar to the one he was manning at Utah Valley University as part of his American Comeback Tour. The booth became a photo opportunity, and many visitors expressed their support by wearing replicas of the shirt Charlie was wearing when he was shot.

As a result of the tragedy, Erika Kirk has taken on a more prominent role within the organization, becoming the new CEO of Turning Point USA. She now leads the influential political group, which has raised significant funds and played a role in shifting the youth vote in favor of figures like Donald Trump.

In the aftermath of Charlie’s death, a suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder and other crimes related to the killing.
