gs.UNBELIEVABLE: Cowboys star “JUST” avoided a major disaster after a “SHOCKING” injury scare in Week 7.
Let’s get real here…no Cowboys fan wants Mazi Smith back in the lineup.

It’s a sad state of affairs when allowing 341 yards and 22 points is viewed as a solid defensive outing, but that’s just where things are right now for the Dallas Cowboys, who forced a season-high two turnovers, including a pick-six from DaRon Bland, in Sunday’s 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders.
The possession following Bland’s touchdown didn’t go particularly well for the Dallas defense, as the Commanders put together a seven-play, 53-yard drive that resulted in a 3-yard touchdown run from Chris Rodriguez Jr. with 2:35 remaining in the third quarter. The touchdown itself didn’t really matter at that point, as the Cowboys still held a commanding 41-22 lead after Matt Gay tacked on the extra point.
What was concerning, however, was the fact that Kenny Clark, who, of course, came to Dallas in the Micah Parsons trade, went down with what turned out to be an elbow injury and was immediately taken to the medical tent. Quickly listed as questionable to return, the 10-year veteran thankfully ended up making his way back into the game, thus allowing Cowboys coaches, players, and fans to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
Cowboys DT Kenny Clark confirms he’s OK after scary elbow injury
As Clark was making his way to the locker room after the contest concluded, he told Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he was “all good” and later told Joseph Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News that he felt good and would be okay, saying he would “find out more tomorrow.”
On Monday, Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer was naturally asked about Clark’s condition, and he confirmed that things are indeed okay, saying, “He’s gonna be good. He’s tough as nails.”
So, that’s certainly a load off.
While Clark hasn’t been the dominant force he once was, he’s put together a solid campaign thus far, racking up a team-high 23 total pressures, five of which came against the Commanders, four QB hits, 1.5 sacks, and 15 total tackles.
Furthermore, he’s been one of the most reliable defenders on the Dallas roster, which is a huge bonus given the number of injuries this team has been forced to suffer through, taking 315 defensive snaps thus far, the sixth-most on the team and the most of any player on the defensive line.
The Cowboys are extremely thin on the interior, so losing Clark would have definitely been a major inconvenience, especially seeing as how his absence likely would have meant more snaps for Mazi Smith. And it’s probably safe to say that not too many Dallas fans would have been excited about that.
