Jimmy Kimmel has confessed that he finds it ‘hard to understand’ how people can still support President Donald Trump.
The talk show host poked fun at MAGA in a comedy segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live as he introduced the “MAGA sack,” mocking supporters of the Trump administration. Speaking in a clip from the show uploaded to social media on Tuesday, January 13, he said, “Donald Trump right now is as unpopular as any president since Nixon.

“He has a 54% disapproval rating. But somehow there is still 40% of Americans who support him which is hard to understand, until you get to the bottom of how many of them stay positive.” The clip then cut to a VT showing news reports of raids in Venezuela, the aftermath of the shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, and the impact of climate change, before suggesting a solution to the “unprecedented problems” America faces.
The video then announced the “Magical Maga Sack,” which showed US citizens with a bag over their heads and a face drawn on it, as the issues simply “disappear.” The video featured scenarios such as wild fires and urged users to hide their “lying eyes” and “block out everything,” from “open corruption, to creeping fascism, to gross incompetence, to severe mental decline, to Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday doodle, or anything you really don’t wanna see!”

It also showed someone wearing the sack with ear defenders over as it promotes “MAGA muffs” too. Social media users then commented on the post as they thanked Jimmy for his comical take on the state of political affairs in the country.

One commented, “The thing is those approval rates are only from USA. If you’d do some global ratings, he is probably the most hated person ever. Like wishing a truck accidentally run him over or something.”
A second said, “I’ll never ever understand how anyone can still support Trump & his insanity!” A third shared, “I don’t mean to laugh bc we are living in serious times right now but this was too funny!”

Jimmy has continued to take aim at the Trump Administration after he faced a brief suspension in September 2025 when he mocked MAGA following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. At the time many feared the president’s influence could see him pulled off air permanently.
