Shakira’s ‘La Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ tour has officially broken the Guinness World Record for highest grossing tour by a Latin artist

Shakira’s La Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour has officially set the Guinness World record for the highest grossing tour from a Latin artist of all time. The Colombian singer’s monumental trek grossed $421.6 million dollars, and sold 3.3 million tickets across 86 shows, per Billboard Boxscore. As Shakira sings on the Bizarrap collaboration which she named the tour after, “Las mujeres ya no lloran, las mujeres facturan,” or rather, “Women no longer cry, women get paid.”

Last year, Shakira kicked off the tour in Brazil, and has since hit major stadiums across the world, including MetLife Stadium in New York. The singer isn’t stopping yet, either; she has dates on the books throughout 2026, and will finally wrap the tour in Mexico.

In an interview with Billboard, Shakira shared her thoughts on breaking the record. “The music industry has grown so much compared to what it was when I started my career,” she said. Previously, Luis Miguel held the record for his 2023-2024 tour, which grossed $409.5 million. “Breaking this record is a new milestone for me, considering that there are so many great artists who historically have toured in Latin America & Spain,” she said. “After a 30 year career, that took so much effort and met so many challenges, to be living this amazing moment is unbelievable.”

She added: “I can only be grateful for the loyalty and passion of my fans, who give meaning to everything I do, and without them none of this would be happening. Without a doubt, they are the best fans in the world.”

The tour marked Shakira’s first live trek since 2018. In her 2024 Rolling Stone cover story, the singer detailed everything that went into planning her career-spanning live effort, from choosing the set list to finding inspiration in both Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour and Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. “Preparing a show is one of the most intricate, complex things I can do as an artist,” she said at the time.
