The Steelers vs. Packers game could go either way on Sunday night, but the halftime show is more guaranteed to be “nothing but a good time.”
Home to perform that show will be Bret Michaels, the Butler County native and frontman of the hard rock band Poison.
“My friends, I am so excited to be back in Pittsburgh,” Michaels noted in a Facebook video. “It’s gonna be nothing but a good time at halftime on NBC Sunday Night football. … We’re gonna bring the party.”
Michaels explained that, due to the limited time for the setup, his band was in the studio cutting a live track that he would sing along to, a common practice for halftime shows.
Michaels, who has Type 1 Diabetes, added, “We’re gonna bring all of our diabetic friends, all of our unbelievable military, active duty, and veterans, as I am a diabetic and son of a veteran, to join me on stage. We’re gonna make this special.”
Michaels, last performing in Pittsburgh at Hollywood Casino in July, played PNC Park in 2022 on The Stadium Tour with Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Joan Jett.
