The Dallas Cowboys have completed an important trade and could secure more ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, according to owner Jerry Jones.
Always one for drama, Jones did not reveal the name of the player joining the team, but noted that the move has addressed some of their struggles, and the player will be on the field straight away.
“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just said Dallas has made a trade and could possibly make a couple of more before tomorrow’s deadline. He declined to share who is involved in the trade,” The Athletic’s Jon Machota reported on Monday afternoon.
“Immediately it will have him on the field and it will address some of the things that have been our shortcomings,” Jones was quoted as saying.
The Cowboys owner had previously opened up on the team’s plans for the trade deadline, but recently made a $1 billion investment that got fans riled up.
As to who the incoming trade might be, he didn’t drop any hints, but the NFC East side has been lined with the likes of Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson, having traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers earlier in the year.
Jerry Jones Also Made A Strange Confession On Monday

It appears Jerry didn’t mind parting ways with the pass rusher, having trolled him on the back of the move. It’s not as if he could even remember his name.
Also, leave it up to Jerry Jones to announce his team made a trade, but then decline to reveal the player’s identity.
Ironically, the announcement came on a day when he admitted to stirring up controversy on purpose, for no other reason than to attract attention.
“The Dallas Cowboys probably have the kind of interest that we have in no small part because we stay out front and we stay controversial. When it gets slow, I stir that s**t up. Fact. I just want to be relevant. I just want you to be looking at us,” he was quoted as saying to Stephen A. Smith.
Cowboys fans may be in for some disappointment.
