New record and body camera footage obtained by TMZ is painting a broader picture of what happened that fateful night on November 6th.

The Texas Department of Public Safety shared the body and dash cam footage that showed officers speeding to catch up with Kneeland, who was allegedly driving at 145 mph before his death from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

One cop eventually catches up with Marshawn Kneeland in the video, which prompted the star football player to take off after exiting the freeway. The cop even flashed his lights at Kneeland, who clearly was not going to stop.

He would then jump back on the freeway and was out of sight yet again. About five minutes later, a cop finds his vehicle after it was involved in an accident. A cop jumps out with his gun drawn, approaching the car.

One witness in another vehicle tries to help cops with Marshawn Kneeland’s whereabouts, describing him as “Arabic.” A cop then jumps in the car with the witness so he can take him back to where he saw Kneeland.

The footage ends with the cop getting out and running towards a field.

The Cowboys’ Monday night game vs. the Raiders marks the team’s first contest since the devastating death of 24-year-old Dallas defensive end Marshawn Kneeland.

Sunday was their first home game.

On Sunday, before the team played the Philadelphia Eagles, the team paid an emotional tribute to Kneeland with a touching video as Brian Schottenheimer wore a shirt with Kneeland’s face on it. At the same time, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni became emotional.

The video began with the moment Marshawn Kneeland was drafted by the Cowboys in 2024 and featured highlights from his time with the franchise.

The Cowboys will wear a special helmet decal for the rest of the season to honor Kneeland.
