bv. BREAKING NEWS: Jakobi Meyers Doubles Down on Trade Request — Patriots Emerge as Top Landing Spot

With the NFL trade deadline rapidly approaching, things just got very real in Las Vegas.
According to ESPN, Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has reiterated his desire to be traded, telling reporters he “still wants out.”

The 27-year-old pass catcher — who spent his first four seasons with the New England Patriots — appears increasingly frustrated with his role in the Raiders’ offense. Sources close to the team say Meyers has grown tired of the inconsistency at quarterback and the overall lack of direction under interim leadership.

Now, with only days left before the deadline, New England has suddenly re-emerged as one of the top potential landing spots.

The fit makes sense.
Meyers was a trusted target under Bill Belichick, developing strong chemistry with then-quarterback Mac Jones and quickly becoming a fan favorite for his toughness and reliability on third downs. Even after leaving for Las Vegas, Meyers has spoken highly of his time in Foxborough — and Patriots fans have never quite gotten over losing him.

If the Raiders decide to move him, a reunion in New England could make perfect sense. The Patriots are short on proven playmakers and desperately need a dependable slot receiver who already understands their system.

One league executive reportedly told ESPN:

“If Meyers hits the market, don’t be surprised if New England makes a serious push. They know exactly what he brings.”

With the trade clock ticking, all eyes are now on GM Brett Veach and the Patriots front office — will they make the call and bring Meyers home?
