In the middle of that chaos stands former Steelers tackle Dan Moore Jr., who left Pittsburgh last offseason after three solid years protecting the quarterback’s blind side. Moore took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent his frustration in a post and quickly went viral among both Titans and Steelers fan
“I’m giving everything I’ve got, but it feels like there’s no respect here,” Moore wrote. “This team doesn’t have the same standard, the same fire. Back in Pittsburgh, every snap meant something, every block mattered. Here, it’s just… different. I miss that brotherhood.”
Within hours, the post drew thousands of reactions — some sympathetic, others critical — before Moore quietly deleted it 12 hours later, citing that he wanted to “focus on football.”
According to team stats, Moore has allowed just one sack in 342 offensive snaps, maintaining one of the highest pass-block efficiency rates on the Titans roster. His PFF grade of 75.6 ranks among the top ten left tackles in the AFC — yet his efforts have been overshadowed by a struggling offense that’s scored just 11.8 points per game, ranking 31st in the league.
Moore’s frustration, insiders say, comes not from his own performance, but from the lack of accountability and competitive spirit around him.
“I came to Tennessee wanting to help build something,” he added later in an interview. “But it’s hard when people don’t care the same way. Pittsburgh… that’s where I learned what real football feels like. If I ever get the chance to go back — I’ll take it in a heartbeat.”
While there’s no official word from the Steelers front office, sources close to the team say head coach Mike Tomlin continues to hold respect for Moore’s toughness and work ethic — and that a potential reunion next offseason “isn’t off the table.”
For now, Moore’s deleted post says everything that needs to be said — sometimes, leaving Pittsburgh doesn’t mean finding something better. It means realizing what you’ve lost.
