Four years ago, Kim Cummings from Haleyville, Alabama, met Josh.
Her children were grown and out of the house, and she wasn’t looking for a teenager to enter her life.
But when she met Josh, she felt something special.
“There was something about Josh,” Kim told me, her voice filled with admiration.
Josh had already been through more than most people ever will, yet there he was, with a heart full of joy and a spirit full of hope.

Fast forward to August 2022, when Kim became Josh’s foster mother.
“He has been amazing,” Kim says with a smile.
Despite losing his limbs, Josh has shown the world what it means to persevere, to overcome, and to never give up.

In 2022, Josh was saved and baptized, solidifying his commitment to God and his purpose.

In 2023, he began speaking at First Baptist Church in Guin, and soon after, he started speaking at other churches in Haleyville and throughout Alabama.
