kk.Latest Evening Update on Hunter – Right Hand Dressing Changed, Fasciotomy Sites Looking Good, and a Much-Needed Shampoo

Good evening, everyone.
Hunter had a steady, productive day in the ICU with several small but meaningful wins worth sharing.
The right hand dressing was changed this afternoon because it had become soiled with drainage. His nurse carefully removed the top layers while leaving the inner dressing in place (the Restora Matrix powder is still working its magic on the wound bed). The hand itself looks good — clean, no major concerns, and the fasciotomy incisions are healing nicely with no signs of infection or breakdown. Circulation remains strong with good pulses on Doppler.

Post-surgical pain has been moderate — much more manageable than yesterday — and he’s been able to rest more comfortably between checks.
One of the sweetest moments today: Nurse Katie gave Hunter a full shampoo using a blow-up water basin setup (hospital ingenuity at its finest!). He’s been unable to wash his hair properly for days, so this simple act of cleanliness and care lifted his spirits tremendously. Where there’s a will… there’s a way!
He’s still in ICU (4J-13), still being monitored closely for circulation, tissue viability, and pain control. The team continues hourly Doppler checks on both arms, and they’re watching closely for any changes that might require further intervention.

Hunter’s mood is holding up — he’s grateful for the care, thankful for visitors, and still cracking small jokes when he can. His strength and positivity continue to amaze everyone around him.
Thank you for every prayer, every message, every share, every thought. Today’s small victories — clean dressings, good incisions, a fresh head of hair — are possible because of the support surrounding him.
We’ll update tomorrow after morning rounds and any new ortho/vascular notes.

Hunter says thank you — he’s hurting, but he’s still here, still fighting, still grateful for you all.
Rest well tonight, brother. We love you. We’re still right here — every check, every breath, every hope.
Goodnight, Hunter. ❤️🙏
