qq. BREAKING: The NFL has reportedly launched an internal review involving QB Jayden Daniels, following questions raised after the Cowboys game footage surfaced online.

The National Football League has officially launched an internal investigation into Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels following viral footage that sparked allegations ofpoint-fixing during Sunday’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

According to league sources, the decision came late Monday night after multiple clips circulating on social media appeared to show Danielsintentionally refusing to throw to wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, who was wide open on several plays. One of the clips, which has now surpassed 12 million views on X, shows Daniels looking directly at McCaffrey before turning away and dumping the ball elsewhere.

The fan who originally posted the video claimed, “This looks rigged — he’s avoiding the easy touchdown. Something’s not right here.” The post quickly went viral, reigniting long-running conspiracy theories that the NFL might be “scripted.”

League officials have since confirmed they are reviewing all available broadcast and All-22 footage, as well asplay-calling data from the Commanders’ offensive staff.

“We take all allegations of competitive integrity violations seriously,” an NFL spokesperson said in a statement. “The league office has initiated a formal review into the matter. No further comment will be made until the investigation is complete.”

This development comes amid renewed public debate about game manipulation in professional football — a topic first reignited in 2023 when former running back Arian Foster joked that “the NFL operates like WWE.” His comments have resurfaced countless times since, often cited whenever controversial plays or officiating errors occur.

During Sunday’s 44–22 loss to Dallas, Daniels completed 12 of 22 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown, adding 35 rushing yards and another score before leaving the game in the second half due to injury.
Meanwhile, Dak Prescott led the Cowboys with 264 yards and three touchdowns, helping Dallas improve to 3–3–1, while the Commanders fell to 3–4 on the season.

Although the viral clips have fueled intense speculation online,no evidence has yet confirmed any wrongdoing by Daniels or the Commanders. Still, the optics have drawn enough attention for the league to act swiftly.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinnbriefly addressed the issue on Monday, saying:

“We’re aware of what’s circulating online. Jayden’s our guy — he competes hard every snap. Beyond that, I’ll leave it to the league to handle.”

As of Tuesday morning, Daniels has not issued a public statement. Sources close to the player say he is “aware of the situation but focused on recovery and preparing for next week.”

For now, the investigation remains ongoing — and the NFL finds itself once again at the center of a controversy questioning the very integrity of the game.
