RK The Cowboys just SHOCKED the NFL world — acquiring Jets superstar Quinnen Williams in a massive deal that could redefine their defense overnight!

New York Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams (95) warms up before a game against the Carolina Panthers at MetLife Stadium, Oct 19, 2025, East Rutherford, NJ, USA.

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets have worked out a blockbuster trade involving All-Pro defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.

With the trade deadline set for 4 p.m. ET, the Jets agreed to trade Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for a pair of first-round picks and wide receiver AD Mitchell. This move was a bit shocking considering Gardner signed a four-year, $120.4 million extension in the offseason.

Roughly an hour after the Jets shipped out Gardner, they dealt Williams to the Cowboys for a first-round pick.

“The #Cowboys are trading for #Jets Pro Bowl DT Quinnen Williams, sending a first-round pick and more to NYJ, per The Insiders,” Rapoport said. “A new home for one of the NFL’s best to team that values interior DLs, as NYJ builds for the future.”

Williams, a former first-round pick from Alabama, has racked up 322 tackles, 101 QB hits and 40 sacks since joining the Jets in 2019. There’s no doubt he’ll give Dallas an immediate boost in the trenches.

Earlier this Tuesday, the Cowboys acquired veteran linebacker Logan Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals.

“For what we need right now, he can come in immediately and help us at linebacker,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan.

In theory, Williams and Wilson should help the Cowboys field a much more competent defense this season.

The revamped Cowboys will be back in action on Nov. 17 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
