RM Elon Musk Reveals Ambitious Goals for Tesla and SpaceX in 2026: Robotaxis, Optimus V3, and Moon Manufacturing

Elon Musk has shared his vision for what Tesla and SpaceX are aiming to achieve by 2026. Speaking in a recent X Spaces conversation, Musk highlighted key milestones for his companies, touching on advancements in autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, and space exploration.
According to Musk, 2026 will mark a significant year for Tesla, with the company expected to launch its long-awaited robotaxi service. He confirmed that widespread deployment of autonomous taxis would be a major development for Tesla. In addition, Tesla plans to unveil the next version of its humanoid robot, Optimus V3, by that time.

As for SpaceX, Musk has high hopes for the development of full reusability in space travel. He mentioned that SpaceX is working towards achieving complete reusability with the Starship, which would be a game-changer for space missions. Musk also teased that 2026 would see substantial shipments of goods via Starship, including the next generation of Starlink satellites.

On the topic of manufacturing in space, Musk spoke about SpaceX’s ongoing collaboration with NASA for upcoming Moon missions. When asked about the possibility of producing materials on the Moon, Musk explained that while the Moon offers unique opportunities, not everything can be made there. He highlighted that the Moon’s manufacturing potential lies in creating specific items like silver cells and radiators, particularly for items that are heavy. However, lighter components such as chips would still be sourced from Earth.

Musk also wished his followers a “Happy New Year,” expressing optimism about 2026, calling it a year that will be “a banger.” He also took the opportunity to share Tesla’s success, noting that the company has produced 9 million cars and that the Tesla Model Y has been the world’s best-selling car for three consecutive years.
