According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Trevon Diggs will miss tomorrow’s clash with the Vikings on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ Not only that, but Schultz reports that the relationship between Diggs and Dallas has “soured” and “been severed.”

Since signing a five-year contract extension worth $97 million in 2023, Diggs has been limited to 19 games because of injuries, per Pro Football Reference.

It’s not exactly clear what led to the “severed” relationship between the two parties. But it’s something worth following closely with only four weeks remaining.

The Dallas defense has been a mess since last season, and Diggs’ absence is a key reason why. Though he’s often burned in coverage, Diggs makes up for it with his elite ball-hawking abilities.

Dallas’ defense has predictably regressed following the Micah Parsons blockbuster trade with the rival Green Bay Packers. Add on Digg’s injury, and it’s just been an all-around forgettable disaster on defense.
