RT “LATE-NIGHT MELTDOWN: Jimmy Kimmel’s Show Abruptly CANCELED Just Hours Before Air — Chaos Inside ABC 😱🔥”
Jimmy Kimmel’s show was yanked off the air Thursday night without warning, and no one is explaining why.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was supposed to feature actor David Duchovny, “Stranger Things” star Joe Keery, and pop singer Madison Beer, who ended up breaking the bad news to fans herself.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date,” Beer posted on X at 6:33 p.m. ET.
ABC has stayed mum on the sudden cancellation, but LateNighter reported the decision stemmed from “a personal matter.” Viewers tuning in at 11:35 p.m. ET were greeted instead by an old episode from October 28 — and plenty of confusion.

A fan on Reddit shared what looked like an email from the show’s audience team: “Tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live has been postponed. Apologies for any inconvenience. Will [sic] will contact you to reschedule for a future taping. Thanks.”
Kimmel, who usually films Monday through Thursday at 4:30 p.m. PST, has rarely missed an episode in his 22 years behind the desk. But this isn’t the first time “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has gone dark recently.

In September, the show was pulled for several days after Kimmel went on an anti-Trump tirade, blasting “the MAGA gang” for “desperately trying to characterize” a murder suspect “as anything other than one of them.”
Two days later, Federal Communications Commission boss Brendan Carr publicly reprimanded him, and Disney reportedly suspended the show. Kimmel returned on Sept. 23.

The network had already planned a short break last month from Oct. 20-23, returning Oct. 27. Earlier this year, Kimmel missed an episode to welcome his granddaughter, and back in 2017, he took a week off after his newborn son, Billy, underwent emergency heart surgery.

In April, Kimmel posted a photo of Billy on Instagram, writing, “He is very healthy and strong thanks to the doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff at @ChildrensLA & @CedarsSinai and to those of you who have sent prayers, well wishes and donations through the years.”

Kimmel’s first-ever missed show came way back in 2007 when he had his appendix removed.
