dq. BREAKING: BUFFALO BILLS FANS SPARK CONTROVERSY BY MOCKING TRAVIS KELCE’S INJURY — SOCIAL MEDIA ERUPTS

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has quite the history with the referee for the upcoming Buffalo Bills game.

The Kansas City Chiefs went into the locker room against the Buffalo Bills down by eight points following the first half, while Travis Kelce hit the trainers room with a potential injury.

Multiple Kansas City medical personnel accompanied Kelce to the locker room, while some Buffalo fans had a go at the tight end.

“Travis Kelce walked into the locker room with three or four trainers right before the half after taking a big shot from Cole Bishop,” Matthew Bové of WKBW reported via social media. “Bills fans were letting him have it and he was egging them on and yelling, ‘I love it! I love it!’”

Bové added that Bishop also left the field just before halftime, indicating that the force of the collision was felt on both sides.

Kelce had just one catch for 20 yards upon his exit. The team has not yet released an official statement on the nature or severity of Kelce’s condition, or whether he has suffered a specific injury.

After a vicious blow to the midsection from Bishop, Kelce was able to return to the field for the second half of the Chief-Bills game on Sunday, November 2.

A slow-motion video of the hit shows clearly why Kansas City was concerned that Kelce may have suffered an injury of some kind on the hit in the end zone.

“Travis Kelce’s gonna have one hell of a time sneezing this week,” an X user captioned a video of the collision from CBS Sports.

Kelce added two catches for 23 more yards in the third quarter, bumping his totals to three receptions for 53 yards as the third period drew to a close.

However, the Bills took control of contest in the second half, as quarterback Josh Allen rushed for a touchdown to put Buffalo ahead by a score of 28-13 with just over one minute and 30 seconds remaining before the fourth period.

A victory in Buffalo would continue the Bills’ regular-season dominance over the Chiefs during the competing eras of Allen and Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Allen entered the Week 9 showdown with a 4-1 all-time record against Mahomes during the regular season.

However, Mahomes and the Chiefs are 4-0 against Buffalo and Allen during postseason play, including two victories in AFC Championship Games.

Kansas City entered the week as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, having won three contests in a row and five out of their last six outings. The Bills, meanwhile, lost two straight games before their bye week, but returned to action in Week 8 with a 40-9 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

After the formerly AFC-leading Indianapolis Colts fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, dropping to 7-2, the contest between the Chiefs and Bills in Buffalo gained even more significance with regards to potential playoff seeding.

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are also now both 7-2 following Week 9 victories.
