kk.Good Monday Morning: Update on Will Roberts — Family Warns of Fake Facebook Pages Scamming Supporters

Ralph, Alabama – January 6, 2026

As the new week begins, the Roberts family of Ralph, Alabama, is sending a heartfelt thank-you to the thousands who have supported their 14-year-old son Will in his courageous battle against bone cancer — while issuing an urgent warning about fake Facebook pages designed to exploit well-wishers.

Will Roberts — the tough, inspiring teen who has captured hearts across the state — is doing well heading into scheduled scans later this week. His progress has been remarkable, a testament to his fighting spirit and the love surrounding him.

But amid the positive news, Will’s mother, Brittney Roberts, is alerting supporters to fraudulent accounts pretending to share updates on Will’s condition.

In a post on her verified page, Brittney wrote:

“This is a fake page that has been hidden from me seeing. I have several friends that have joined this account and several that have shared a screenshot of this. It appears to be fake accounts running them but in just two weeks they have over 1k followers and reporting horrible information to play on people’s emotions.

“These are the fake pages being set up to scam others. I see where they are giving an address to send items to. This is what is sad.

“I don’t care how many fake pages pop up, I just don’t want the ones who support us to be scammed in any way. Be aware.”

Brittney emphasized that she will not create separate “prayer pages” — a tactic scammers often use — and urged followers to ignore any updates not coming directly from her or trusted sources like local good-news reporter Rick Karle.

“I’m asking you — please — scroll past anything about Will that did not come directly from me or Rick Karle Good News,” she added. “That’s why their posts are so distraught and full of heartache — to get you to click.”

The only legitimate source for updates remains Brittney’s personal page: Brittney Battles Roberts.

Will’s story has inspired countless people since his diagnosis. The 14-year-old has faced treatment with incredible strength, supported by parents Jason and Brittney, sister Charlie, and a tight-knit community. His journey echoes the family’s earlier heartbreak with daughter Darby Kate, who passed away at 68 days old — making their plea for caution all the more poignant.

As Will prepares for this week’s scans, the family asks for continued prayers and positive thoughts — but also vigilance against those seeking to profit from kindness.

Let’s rally around Will and the Roberts family the right way: with real support, real awareness, and real love.

Follow Brittney Battles Roberts for authentic updates, and let’s help protect this brave family from scams.

Will, you’ve got an army behind you. Keep fighting, champ. 🙏❤️
