The UPS MD-11 cargo plane crash at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on the afternoon of November 4, 2025, left a trail of horror and deep grief for the entire community. Video footage captured by ground surveillance crews shows the entire sequence from the plane’s takeoff, the sudden fire and separation of the left engine, to the tragic moment the plane crashed and exploded violently.
The crash killed at least 12 people, including the three-person crew and many victims on the ground. Rescue forces worked actively in challenging conditions to extinguish the fire and search for victims. The airport had to be closed until the next morning, greatly affecting operations inside and in the surrounding area. National Transportation Safety Board investigators are urgently analyzing the black box to clarify the cause of the accident. Initial suspicions are that engine and fuel problems increased the catastrophic level of the incident.
